That's a pile of shit. I've been interviewing and I can't raise from my current job at all. I though about going back to Houston but my family there are reporting worst.
Private sector and small business is going up for sure so I'm tryin to get into that.
There are pros and cons. When I first moved here it was because of Enron screwing over us in Texas and none of the energy companies would touch me with a 10 foot pole. This was just a contract at first but the women were easy and they have cultures from all over the world. I have not had to carry a gun for years and the worst crime you would see here is minor gang shit. Cost of living is high because they think they are like New York which is a pile of shit. If you work here and make 40k to 50k a year then you'll do fine if you are single. Healthcare is free as well as several other things. I brought my wife here and we have two boys and I can tell you that we will not move from here any time soon. Well the truth is that the army called me back for active duty in 2003 and I told them to fuck off. That was what made me decide to make this place work. If you want to explore it then you have to make a trip here and see if it is something you feel you could be comfortable with. Most important is the finance so you have to secure a position here before even considering to move. Also consider buying property because rentals will drain you. Over all, is it a good idea? I would have to say yes because it worked out for me, but that's just me. It's not such a huge change really.
How about you? Bought all your candy for Halloween yet or are you dressin?
Odd because I was reading an article. It said Canada was booming with jobs compared to the US.
